Went to all 4 major cities of belgium in 4 days and this was definitely our fave! Do a bike tour to fully appreciate it and December is definitely one of the best times to go when everything is all lit up and beautiful. 100% recommend a visit to this historic place.

I love this beautiful arcade, full of decadent shops, cafés and restaurants. It is as grand as it is beautiful and dates back to the 1800's. It is often very busy but is worth the effort and I thoroughly recommend sitting down with some chocolates and a hot chocolate to watch the world go by. This is possibly my favourite place in Brussels as the architecture is stunning. Being there a couple of weeks before Christmas made it even cosier!

A lovely place to visit. We used the hop on hop off buses to visit. The views from the top are stunning where you can see for miles. We also ate in the restaurant at the top. Great food although a bit pricey, but as it was the last day of our trip it seemed like a good treat.

Beautiful castle on the canals of Ghent. Self paced tour with audio. The narrator is very cheesy, but the stories interesting. Lots of outdoor space to walk around and view the city from above. Interior rooms are interesting and well described. LOTS of narrow stairs!
