Destination

Located in Japan, Ghibli Park features five areas inspired by beloved anime classics such as My Neighbor Totoro and Howl’s Moving Castle. For those new to driving in Japan, securing an international drivers permit and checking out a Japan driving guide are essential for navigating to this must-visit destination.

Previously, the park offered an all-access pass and limited lower-tier tickets. With the new system, visitors can choose between a full-access O-Sanpo Day Pass Premium for ¥7,300-¥7,800 or the new three-area O-Sanpo Day Pass Standard at a lower price of ¥3,300-¥3,800. For those interested in just one section, Area Day Passes are available starting at ¥1,000, with access to areas like Dondoko Forest or the Hill of Youth.

Keep in mind that some attractions, such as Howl’s Castle and Kiki’s house in the Valley of Witches, require supplementary tickets priced separately. These tickets are limited in availability and can only be purchased on-site, so plan accordingly to avoid missing out.

The introduction of single-area passes, while more affordable, comes with a time restriction. Visitors must select a morning or afternoon time block, offering a tailored experience that ensures smaller crowds and more personalized visits.
