A must-see for any traveler in Australia. From its unique architecture to its diverse program of events, the Sydney Opera House is a masterpiece of Australian completion. Whether you are looking for an evening of opera, a night of comedy, or a day of culture, the Sydney Opera House has it all!

Melbourne has a world class botanical garden, a jewel that is a testament to its landscapers, botanists and city planners alike. My favorite was the fern garden with its collection of amazing NZ, NSW and QNL specimen, the Chilean, Californian and especially CHinese/Japanese plants and of course the many lakes with the birds and turtles. One could spend many hours with the fauna and flora but also, like natives do, chillin' on the grass. Kudos to VIC to make this available to the citizen.

Git the ferry from circular quay to Manly and spent a lovely afternoon there. Lots of places to eat and drink. The walk on the promenade is very nice too. We spent a couple of hours on the beach after hiring a beach canopy from a beacfront surf shop for 15 aud which was very convenient and shaded us from the blistering heat. Loved watching the surfers.

We lived our time at Lone Pine. We booked the koala experience at 9:15 am (right after they opened). We got lucky and were the only ones booked, so we had full time with just us. The keepers were very knowledgeable and happy to chat throughout our time answering lots of questions. The rest of the park is excellent as well. You have the opportunity to wander among the kangaroos and emus feeding them is you want. You can pet them as well which was a lot of fun. Morning is the best time to go as all the animals were fairly active. Definitely worth the time if you are in Brisbane

I walked to this lovely bazaar from my hotel in the central business district of Melbourne. This is a vast collection of tiny shops, selling everything from Australian leather goods to iPhone accessories. I couldn’t resist buying several things here - a leather belt, quite unique greeting cards, and an old-fashioned telescope. There are also a large fresh produce market as well as restaurants (where I had lunch after some strenuous shopping). A lot of fun, just like Khan Khalili Market in Cairo - you never know what you’ll stumble upon. Don’t miss it if you have a couple of hours to spare.
